December 6, A Day to Reflect and Inspire Action
It has been 35 years since the murder of 14 young women at L’Ecole Polytechnique Montréal on December 6, 1989. This act of violent misogyny shook Canada and led Parliament to designate December 6 as The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. Amy will look back to this tragic history to look forward and provide highlights of inquiries and prevention initiatives where misogyny and violence against women are named and no longer accepted as the status quo. Honouring and learning from the past can inspire and foster safer communities and futures for BC women and their families.
Price includes a $20 donation to the CFUW L’Ecole Polytechnique Commemorative Award.
Tax receipt will be issued.
